halloween wreath {diy}

September 28, 2013

This is the first wreath I have put on my front door since we moved in.  I know, it’s crazy.  But I sometimes have a hard time finding exactly what I want, so it stays naked.  Finally though…something that speaks to me.

I used my 40% off coupon at JoAnn to get my wreath.

Sprayed it black.

Then dug through my stash of felt.  I cut 5 circles, roughly the same size, plus another slightly bigger for each flower.  I made the felt flowers pretty similar to this tutorial because I like the big, bold, ruffled look of them.

Finally, I hot-glued them on.

I think it is a pretty, bold wreath for Halloween!  My front porch almost feels complete for the season…more on that to come!

    This is adorabel! I am so over the traditional fall wreaths. Yours is very trendy. I wonder if I could find a similar twig wreath from somewhere other than JoAnns.

    This is so pretty. I love the organic feel. It is cool how you could change out the color of the felt flowers for different seasons. We would love to have you share with us at our weekly Super Saturday Link Party. Your recipes and ideas would be a hit with our crowd. It would be our honor to have you join us!
