Today’s guest blogger Alicia comes from Heathing You, a vegan recipe blog that is filled with nothing but healthy, wholesome food.  She has some great recipes for healthy living there and today is sharing a little indulgence without the total guilt.  Bonus, right!?!?  Here she is…

me

Hello there!

When it comes to mind, body, and nature, I feel a true sense of who I am. The passion for food connects to each of these aspects for me. While many think food is something to just fill hunger, I’ve developed a deeper sense and relationship to it. Each ingredient that is involved brings bursting flavor and texture that excites me. It’s not just food to me, it’s an art. I love to experiment in the kitchen and try a variety of new recipes. While many tend to stick to what they know of, I am constantly seeking what I haven’t experienced yet.

Food that is closest to nature brings my mind at peace and it keeps my body energized. I’ve found the vegan diet and I have never been happier. After being a certified personal trainer, nutritionist, completing my first marathon, and truly connecting to hot power yoga, I haven’t turned back on my overall health and wellness.

I don’t believe in eliminating food or working out all the time. I simply believe in listening to your body and making the best choices for your own health. Each body is unique and what works for someone might not work for the other. Although, I think it is vital to keep in mind that each of us are capable of eventually adapting, especially if it is for self-growth. So, whatever path you may be on or changes you want to make, I’m here to inspire you and “health” you along the way.
