paper & paint table runner {diy}

February 27, 2014

I am so excited to share one of my go-to entertaining items with you today.  I use this, or some variation of this, almost every time I am hosting a gathering where my food will be set out on my kitchen island…family dinners, parties, small gatherings with friends…you name it.  It is frugal, it looks great, and it makes cleanup a breeze.  It’s…

Kraft paper-or in this case, contractor’s paper.  I have had a huge roll of it since we moved in and I use it all the time.  This last time I fancied it up a bit with some metallic paint.

Just roll out your paper onto your surface that you will be covering.  Or, if it is a nice table you are thinking of putting it on, measure, cut, and roll out on a protected surface before painting.

I used a pretty large, round sponge to apply my dots.  I started with a lot at the ends and fewer in the middle.

I must say, it’s very glamorous looking for contractor’s paper, don’t you think?

I promise your guests will be impressed!

When you are done, just toss the paper into the recycling bin.  If you find that it doesn’t have food splatters or messes on it, go ahead and use it again!  I would!Signature_zpsbf29e5311
