kids’ abstract art finger painting {& the finished office gallery wall}

February 28, 2014

If you have kids (or grandkids, nieces and nephews, friends’ kids, etc) and you have an empty space on your wall you are hoping to fill, I have an idea for you.

We were in that situation a bit.  I have been working on getting my husband’s front office finished up for, well, over a year now.  (Baby steps, don’t judge…!)  A gallery-style wall has been in the works and I wasn’t sure what to hang in the last spot.  Mr. Circus Berry is a sentimental man, and loves being surrounded by happy memories, family, and our kids’ projects, so I thought that a finger painted piece would be the perfect addition to his wall.

It was fun for the kids, it filled the empty space, and with me simply controlling the colors they used, it fit with the decor.  Perfect!

Here is a little glimpse of our artistic process:

And the finished office wall!

What kids’ art would you decorate with?

    Its turned out wonderful! I love it mixed with the gallery wall, but am also totally convinced it would look stunning alone too. You all did a great job!

      Thanks, but the kids have to take most of the credit! Glad you stopped by…

    I have two canvases in my front room, painted by my children. I think they add a nice homey feel!
