rainbow & gold bangle bracelet {diy}

March 11, 2014

I have had a lot of rainbows and gold on my mind lately, all in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day!  The possibilities go on and on with my recent fun including these Rainbow & Gold Bangle Bracelets.

Oh, and these are not just for St. Paddy’s Day.  I can’t wait to wear these bright colored accessories in the springy-summery weather, when I don’t need to wear 2 sweaters and a coat to go anywhere!

Stack them, wear them alone…give them to your five year old so she can feel sassy.  Whatever you’d like!

I used some plastic bangles I had from the Michael’s dollar bins from ages ago that I wanted to wrap up and never quite got to it.  Until now.  I knew I did not get rid of them of a reason!  Also, let’s not forget your embroidery floss.  Grab a rainbow of colors (usually available in a complete package) and some metallic gold.

Just wrap and glue, wrap and glue, until you get your desired look.  Finish with the gold!

There you have it.  The gold at the end of the rainbow.  Wear your fancy DIY bangle proudly and be fabulous!

    These came out very cute, I love the wide bands of colour.
    I tried something similar recently, upgrading some old bangles and they came out lovely but I found it pretty time consuming – a project for doing whilst sitting in front of the TV! (or maybe I’m just dead impatient! Anyhow, worth the effort as they look great!
