While WNY was under cover of a blizzard, I was busy willing the Spring to come…through crafting. I have had a fun Spring wreath in mind to replace this Snowflake Wreath, but partway through, the darn thing wasn’t coming out the way I had envisioned. Crafter problems, right? I stepped back and started over. Much to my surprise, I finished with this beauty.
This one was a little out of the box for me, not to mention much more pink than I would usually do for a front door wreath. Simple, quick, and neutral is usually my style, with a clear plan in mind ahead of time. This time, I worked and added a little at a time, until I got what I wanted. Let me not forget to mention that it was a slow work in progress because the kids were home too. My glue gun was plugged in all day. I actually finished after they went to bed. (Is that bad?)
First, the navy ribbon on the white wreath.
Hmmm…how about some pink twine?
Why not add a message in there? In glitter…
There was going to be big pink peonies, but I changed my mind. Felt flowers it is.
I actually love the pink, and the nautical feel to it. Now, if Spring would really just get here already!!!
