#MakeIt Blogger Challenge: Dollar Tree Gift Jar (and Santa Tag Printable!)

December 1, 2014

I just love handmade gifts that come together so easily and look great when they are done.  These Dollar Tree Jar Crafts, complete with this Santa Tag Printable, are just that.  They are easy, cute, and can be filled with any number of sweet treats for the great people in your life.

It’s time for the #MakeIt Blogger Challenge with this month’s theme being Dollar Tree Gifts.  I was strolling the aisles a couple of weeks ago and found these plain glass jars that I thought would be the perfect vessel for some goodies for all of our teachers.  It is a nice twist on the ever-so-popular mason jar too.

These jars in particular had an embossed-sort-of-label that was just perfect for some red paint.  It is a Christmas Jar after all.  I used some red acrylic paint in the label area, let it dry, then wrote “sweets” with a Sharpie White Paint Marker.

Once the Santa Tag Printables were punched, I added a tiny bit of glitter accent to the Santa belt.

These jars were filled with some homemade cookies but I could imagine any variety of surprises going inside…mini mani/pedi supplies, candies, you name it!

Be sure to check out some other clever Dollar Tree gifts this month at these other blogs!  Enjoy!
