My search for the “perfect” Christmas stockings for ourfamily has been an ongoing one for a while now, so when I found these knit stocking in shades of gray and white at Target, I instantly fell in love and scooped them up faster than you can say, “Holly Jolly”. No hesitation here. The problem…how do we know which stocking belongs to whom? Problem solved with these festive, crafty, sparkly name tags.
I wanted a name tag that would match the room (I do love my blues and grays), but have a handmade feel–something to match that fabulous shimmery knit! A little twine, a little sparkle, all good!
You’ll need some tags (I used chalkboard tags from Michael’s), colored twine, glue dots, glitter, and some quick drying glue, like tacky glue. You might also want something pointy to apply the glue with, like a toothpick.
Write the names with pencil first. Then trace over it with your glue and twine, working a little bit at a time.
Once your name is done, add some glue dots and glitter. Brush it all off with a dry paint brush. You might have some glitter stuck in the twine as well…no big deal, just brush it off. Or keep it. Fabulous, right?
